⚠️ UPDATE — 3 July 2026: 50% of Window 1 Budget Now Allocated
Defra has confirmed that around 50% of the £60 million Window 1 budget has now been allocated. That means approximately £30 million remains — but the budget is moving faster than expected.
North West farmers eligible for Window 1 who have not yet applied should do so immediately. When the budget is fully allocated Window 1 will close — there will be no further warning beyond the 75% update.
Window 2 opens in September 2026 for all eligible farmers with at least 3 hectares of agricultural land registered with the Rural Payments Agency.
